On approximately 8 occasions each year Nicholas Varnon leads an ecumenical group in the Methodist Centre in Stibbard, starting at 7.30pm and ending, after Compline, promptly at 9pm. A variety of 'subjects' has been considered, for example:

The Gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke (before each liturgical year, including the use of the Diocesan 'maps').

What Happens When We Die?  'Genocide' in the Old Testament. Moral and Ethical Dilemmas.

Common Worship Holy Communion: how is a service constructed? David and Jonathan.  Jesus' Encounters with Women. Creation: fact and fiction.

Maslow, Game Theory and Christian Service.  Parables of the lost. Biblical and Contemporary Idols. How is Faith 'born'? Eschatology.

Made in the Image of God. The Environment. What does it mean to be a worshipper? The Atonement.

The posters which are prepared for each meeting should be (reasonably) self-explanatory, but anyone requiring additional information should contact Nicholas Varnon (01328) 701799.

Any of these, or other requested 'subjects', can be offered in any of the Upper Wensum Group parishes.
